Porto’s is located along a beautiful main street of Burbank, somewhat similar to Colorado St. in Pasadena. Porto’s offers a friendly atmosphere, a large menu and extremely reasonable prices.
Expect a line, this place is very popular. The sandwiches are tasty, but nothing gourmet. The portion is more than worth the price. Pictured below is the Cubano sandwich ($4.85) – slow roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, butter and mustard and mayonnaise mix on Cuban bread – with banana chips! This sandwich is filling and the meat is tender. Overall, pretty delicious.
My friend got the veggie sandwich ($6.15) – Roasted eggplant, roasted red bell peppers, and zucchini, with havarti cheese, hummus spread, lettuce, and tomatoes on wheat – also with banana chips.
Porto’s also has a wide array of baked goods to choose from. I will have to try these on my next visit.
I am looking forward to exploring more restaurants in Burbank as it is a beautiful area!
