Easy Cinnamon Rolls (No yeast!)

Cinnamon rolls are a wonderful, sweet breakfast treat every once in a while. But when yeast is involved, it adds so much extra time. Here’s a recipe that does not involve yeast and makes 4 perfect cinnamon rolls!

You’ll need:

1 cup flour (although I like to use 3/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup ground flaxseed)

1 tablespoon sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 ½ tablespoons butter

½ cup milk

For the filling, you will need:

2 tablespoons butter

½ cup brown sugar

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

Cooking Instructions:
1) Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
2) Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a medium sized bowl
3) Stir in milk and melted butter into the medium bowl with the dry ingredients to form a soft dough
4) To prepare the filling, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon
5) Flour a pan and roll the dough into a rectangle
6) Spread 3/4 of the filling on top of the dough
7) Roll up the dough from the shorter side of the rectangle and cut into four equal pieces
8) Spray canola oil into a small pan and place cinnamon rolls in pan
9) Spread the remaining filling on top of the rolls
10) Place in oven and cook for 20 minutes
11) Enjoy!
