This Spring break, I attended SXSW film, music and interactive festival on assignment as a staff reporter for my university’s online publication. I had the time of my life.
From Hollywood flicks like 21 Jump Street and The Cabin in the Woods to small, gritty indies like Sun Don’t Shine and Somebody Up There Likes Me, I feel like I had a very well-rounded festival experience. I even saw Emily Shuman, founder of the blog Cupcakes and Cashmere, speak about how she made a business out of blogging. As for music, Mumford and Sons and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros were all I had to see to be satisfied! SXSW is just about the best festival in the world. I hope to return next year.
